Unlike most of the CRM solutions,
WinZeal Express enables you to customize your report templates. If you are
familiar with Microsoft Office 2000 or above, you are already in!
WinZeal Express uses Microsoft Word
and Excel to generate reports. Report templates are setup at the
time of installation. All you need to do is open the report template, make
the changes you require, save it and close it. The next time you generate
that report, you will see all the changes you made.
There are a few things to keep in
mind while customizing the templates:

1. WinZeal Express uses Bookmarks
(A bookmark identifies a location that you name and identify for future
reference) to place information at specific locations in a Word document.
You cannot rename or delete them in any of the templates.
2. Bookmark names are case
sensitive.
3. In certain reports, you may not
be able to change the column header names. This is because WinZeal Express
could be inserting a column dynamically based on your selection.

4. All the templates should be
placed in the folder Report Templates (under the installation folder).
You can change the header and
footer sections of every template to suit your requirements. For reports
where the column headers are also defined and fixed, you can alter the text,
color or size of the headers. However, you cannot merge, delete or rearrange
a specific column if its already fixed. WinZeal Express will not be able to generate
the report in that case.

If you are not familiar about Bookmarks in Microsoft Office,
we suggest you consult someone who has thorough knowledge
about these things for report customization. WinZeal Express
may not generate the report even if one bookmark is miss
spelt or missing. |
