Who can
use WinZeal Express? Is it industry specific in any way?
WinZeal Express can be used by any
organization which prepares proposals/quotations for it's customers. It
supports both products and services. So even if you are a service based
industry, you can still use WinZeal Express to effectively manage your
business and customers.
How can I
use WinZeal Express for evaluation?
When you start WinZeal Express, you
will see a window as shown below by default if you have not registered the
product. You can click on the Try it button to use WinZeal Express for
evaluation.

Please be aware of the following
limitations if you are using WinZeal Express 3.0 for evaluation purposes:

It will work for 14 days.

You will not be able to create more
than 30 Proposals/Quotations.
-
All the proposals and reports you generate will
include the statement "This document was generated by WinZeal Express" at
the top and bottom of the document.
Once you register WinZeal Express, you will not see this screen again and
all the limitations stated above are automatically removed.
How do I setup my login details
for WinZeal Express?
After a successful installation,
when you start WinZeal Express for the first time, you should see the
Authentication Setup
window as shown below:

WinZeal Express will suggest the
Login Name as "administrator" by default. We recommend you change this to
something else you are familiar with (probably your name). Type in the
password you want to set in the Select your Password and Re-enter your
Password text boxes.
WinZeal Express 3.0 also gives you
an additional option which enables you to reset the system password in case
you forget it. You can choose your Question and key in an answer to that
question in this window. In case you need to reset the password you can do
so by choosing your question and typing in the answer you would have stated
here in the Login window whenever you start WinZeal Express.
Click on the Setup button to configure your login details. The next time you start WinZeal Express, you
can use the details you had previously setup to login and use the software.
You can also change your login
details from the User Options window.
I get the error message "Could
not connect to the database. Please try again". What should I do now?
This error can occur for the
following reasons:
1. The ODBC
drivers installed on your PC are corrupt or might have been an outdated
version. Install any version of MDAC drivers (version 2.5 and above). You
can
download MDAC drivers from the Microsoft website.
2. The
Operating System is other than the ones listed below:
3. The "Data" directory under the
installation folder (by default, WinZeal Express is installed under
C:\Program Files\WinZeal Express 3.0) is Read only. Make sure the folder has
both Read and Write permissions set.
I get the error message "Login
failed. Please try again". What should I do now?
Your authentication credentials are
wrong. Either the Login Name or the Password you have entered is incorrect.
WinZeal Express is not case sensitive, but make sure you have not entered
any additional space characters.
You can also reset the password to
"admin" if you use the Forgot Password option in the Login window.
